Who We Are
The Sunset Youth Group exists to CONNECT teens with other Christians, to help them GROW in their faith, to challenge them to use their talents to SERVE God and others, and to LEAD teens to Christ.
Our Mission
THE GREAT COMMANDMENTS:
Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. This is the first and most important commandment. The second most important commandment is like this one. And it is, “Love others as much as you love yourself.” All the Law of Moses and the Books of the Prophets are based on these two commandments. Matthew 22:37-40
THE GREAT COMMISSION:
Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples. Baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to do everything I have told you. I will be with you always, even until the end of the world.

How we Grow and Serve
1st Step: "Connect"
Have each teen get to know the other teens in the youth group, to share their Bible studies, problems, successes, and help each other be accountable.
2nd Step: "Grow"
These are the teens that want to know more about God and His word. The first goal is to have each teen own their faith. Second, encourage each teen to develop personal spiritual habits of daily Bible reading, prayer, and scripture memorization. Third, have small group Bible study to give each teen in depth study to feed their hunger and develop closer relationships.
3rd Step: "Serve"
Have each teen identify and own their ministry. Learn how to use their talents to serve God and others. This is the first step of leadership.
4th Step: "Lead"
Have the teens take ownership of their youth program. Lead the youth group by selecting, organizing, and running youth events while being a servant leader. Also learn how to conduct Bible studies to lead their friends to Christ.
